Frequency of meals
From 2 to 8 months: give approximately 20 g of kibble 3 times a day (morning, noon, evening).
From 8 months onwards: reduce to 2 meals a day (morning and evening).
Tips:
Leave the bowl available to the puppy for 30 minutes for each meal.
After each meal, take the puppy outside to do its business.
Important: provide fresh water for the puppy at will.
Transition between two brands of kibble
When changing brands of kibble, it is important to do so gradually to avoid digestive problems. Here is a 20-day transition plan:
- Days 1 to 3: 90% old+ 10% new.
- Days 4 to 6: 80% old + 20% new.
- Days 7 to 9: 70% old + 30% new.
- Days 10 to 12: 60% old + 40% new.
- Days 13 to 15: 50% old + 50% new.
- Days 16 to 18: 30% old + 70% new.
- Days 19 to 20: 20% old + 80% new.
- From day 21 onwards: 100% new dry food.
Switching from puppy kibble to adult kibble
Around 10 to 12 months: start replacing puppy dry food with dry food suitable for adult dogs.
Continue feeding two meals per day even after switching to adult dry food.
Important: provide fresh water for the dog at all times.
