Remember to reward good behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1 \u2013 The puppy should not rush to the bowl until you give him permission to do so<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">At the beginning, the puppy tries to get access to the bowl, move the bowl away, without any sudden gesture, and put it back a little further.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When the puppy does not move, give him a kibble immediately as a reward.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2 \u2013 If the puppy looks at you instead of the bowl, reward him<\/strong> immediately with a kibble (hand-fed).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The point is to show him that it is you, the teacher, who is interesting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When the puppy understands that it is \u201cthe master\u2019s bowl\u201d and not his own, you can start learning the first commands.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>3 \u2013<\/strong> <strong>You can now start some exercises<\/strong> (maximum 2 minutes).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Take a small handful of kibble in one hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Move the puppy away by throwing a kibble. It will only last a few seconds and the puppy will be close to you. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Thereafter, you will gradually increase the 3D.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Take for example the learning of the command \u201csit\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>D is for Distraction<\/strong><\/span>: As you learn to \u201csit\u201d you can increase the distractions to get your dog to \u201csit\u201d in any situation. Whether there are dogs, bikes, cats, children\u2026 when you say \u201csit\u201d, the puppy must sit (then always be rewarded with kibble and then add voice, petting to gradually not need the kibble anymore).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>D is for Distance<\/strong><\/span>: As your puppy learns the word \u201csit\u201d, you can ask him to \u201csit\u201d even if you move away from him. Start with a few steps and increase the distance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>D for Duration<\/strong><\/span>: Increase the duration as you go along. Positive training will emphasise encouragement, and rewards when the dog follows the rules of the community. Nevertheless, the positive method must involve prohibitions that allow this community to live in respect of each other.<\/p>\n<p>At home, I use \u201cno\u201d when the act that one of my dogs wants to do is forbidden. There will never be a kibble as a reward. A misunderstanding would be created in the puppy\/dog.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cno\u201d must be used wisely.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">1 order = 1 word (sit, lie down\u2026) = completed act: appreciation, congratulations, rewards\u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">1 forbidden = \u201cno\u201d = respect for the forbidden: say \u201cthat\u2019s good\u201d, caress<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For example: I ask my dog not to bark in the house.<\/p>\n<p>The dog barks = forbidden = I say \u201cno\u201d\/I show my displeasure\/no shouting =the dog doesn\u2019t bark anymore, I can say \u201cthat\u2019s good\u201d. The dog has no kibble. The dog will gradually stop barking in the house.<\/p>\n<p>Now we will see that with a reward kibble, the dog is in trouble:<\/p>\n<p>The dog barks = I say \u201cno\u201d\u2026 = dog stops barking\u2026 congratulation by voice + kibble. The dog will assimilate I bark = \u201cno\u201d + kibble.<\/p>\n<p>He will start barking again for more kibble. He assimilates: I bark = word \u201cno\u201d + kibble. For him, \u2018no\u2019 is a command, not a ban.
