Teach your puppy the \u2018heel\u2019 command
\nusing positive reinforcement.<\/h2>\n

Remember that the positive method is based on reinforcing good behaviour. It is based on respect, kindness, analysis and understanding of canine behaviour.<\/p>\n

The aim is to work on the dog’s motivation and cooperation.<\/p>\n

First, get to a quiet place without distractions.<\/p>\n

We can start the exercise.<\/p>\n

Say the name of the puppy + the word “at the foot” + a gesture with your hand<\/strong> (closed hand holding a kibble) + you walk a few seconds saying “at the foot”.<\/p>\n

The puppy follows you, rewarding him with your voice.<\/p>\n

You stop and raise your hand above his head. The puppy sits, reward him with a kibble and voice.<\/p>\n

Repeat the exercise several times.<\/p>\n

You continue the exercise but without kibble in your hand. Reward them at the end of the exercise.<\/p>\n
